This is an original vintage Dnepr motorcycle sidecar, professionally restored while preserving the traditional construction, proportions, and distinctive character of the classic Dnepr design.

Dnepr motorcycles and sidecars were produced by the Kyiv Motorcycle Plant (KMZ) in Kyiv, Ukraine, one of the major manufacturers of heavy motorcycles with sidecars in Eastern Europe.

With its rounded steel body, traditional spoked wheel, substantial fender, and simple functional construction, the Dnepr sidecar has become an instantly recognizable piece of vintage motorcycle history.

This example is finished in classic gloss black, giving it a clean and timeless appearance.

This is an authentic restored vintage Dnepr sidecar — not a newly manufactured reproduction.

Traditional All-Steel Construction

One of the defining characteristics of the classic Dnepr sidecar is its robust traditional construction.

Original Dnepr technical documentation describes the sidecar as having a welded tubular steel frame and an all-metal welded body manufactured from steel sheet.

This traditional construction gives the Dnepr a very different character from lightweight fiberglass sidecars such as the Velorex.

The steel body, substantial frame, classic fender and spoked wheel create the solid, purposeful appearance associated with vintage Dnepr sidecars.

Professionally Restored

This original vintage sidecar has been carefully refurbished in our workshop.

The restoration process includes professional sandblasting, inspection and restoration of the metal body and frame, surface preparation, refinishing and automotive painting.

Selected worn components are restored or replaced where necessary while preserving the original character and construction of the sidecar.

As with any restored vintage item, some components may be original while others may have been refurbished or replaced during its service life or restoration.

This restored vintage Dnepr sidecar is currently in stock at our warehouse in Portsmouth, Virginia.

For transportation, the sidecar is disassembled and securely packed in durable OSB shipping crates. Individual components are carefully protected inside the crates.

Freight delivery is available throughout the continental USA to residential or commercial addresses.

Free local pickup from our Portsmouth, VA warehouse is available by appointment.
